Dr. Hoy earned her doctorate in education with a concentration in Educational Leadership and Two-Way Immersion Program from Nova University. She also has a master’s degree in social work with a focus on Psychotherapy for Children aged 3-18, from Barry University. With a distinguished career spanning 25 years in the field of education, she has been deeply involved in accreditation processes for a decade. Dr. Hoy co-founded and currently serves as Vice-President of Hoy Global Consultants, a firm renowned for providing educational and international development services on a national and international scale since its establishment in 2010.
In 1997, Dr. Hoy established the Lycée Franco-Américain International School, pioneering a French/English immersion program catering to students from Pre-K to 5th grade. Subsequently, in 2007, she founded the International School of Broward, a charter public school offering an international studies program for grades 6-12. As a Head of School and Executive Director, she has successfully managed budgets, prepared financial reports, and administered grants to support various educational initiatives. Her experience in coordinating the accreditation process, writing grants, and securing funding for school program demonstrates her proficiency in financial management and grant administration.
During her tenure at Miami Northwestern High School, Dr. Hoy served as a Trust Specialist, delivering both group and individual therapy to youth and their families. Her role also involved training faculty and staff on crisis intervention and mental health matters over a seven-year period. Additionally, she worked as a psychotherapist at the Children Psychiatric Center for two years, providing comprehensive individual, family, group, and psycho-educational therapy.
Dr. Hoy’s contributions extend beyond her direct service roles; she has been an integral member of Cognia (formerly known as SACS/AdvancED) School Accreditation teams, lending her expertise locally, nationally, and internationally.
In recognition of her dedication to promoting French Academic Programs and the French language from Pre-K to 12th grade, Dr. Hoy was awarded the prestigious “Palmes Académiques” Medal by the French Government in 2010. Furthermore, her outstanding leadership and commitment to educational excellence were acknowledged when she received the 2018 Principal of the Year award from the City of Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
