Crystal structure of a novel domain of the motor subunit of the Type I restriction enzyme EcoR124 involved in complex assembly and DNA binding

The Journal of Biological Chemistry JBC,  the the prime journal of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology established in 1905, published July 27 a study by our researchers together with colleagues from the Czech Academy of Sciences, the Max-Planck-Institute for Biochemistry and Luebeck University, Germany, that reports the first experimentally determined full-length 3D-structure of a motor subunit of a bacterial Type I restriction-modification system and identified a novel domain with a unique fold involved in complex assembly and DNA binding. Read Dr. Rudi Ettrich’s latest publication in the Journal of Biological chemistry JBC  by clicking here
