The Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences (MSBS) curriculum provides a rigorous foundation in the biomedical sciences while preparing students for admission to and success in medical, dental, physician assistant, pharmacy, and other health professions programs. Core courses—including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and related biomedical disciplines—strengthen students’ scientific knowledge, critical-thinking skills, and readiness for professional-level study.
The curriculum is offered through flexible delivery models designed to meet diverse student needs, including traditional on-campus, fully online (asynchronous), live online (synchronous), and hybrid options. Regardless of delivery model, students engage with the same learning outcomes and high academic standards.
Active learning is integrated throughout the curriculum through case-based discussions, collaborative problem-solving, peer-directed learning, team activities, presentations, and applied assignments. Innovative curricular features include interdisciplinary assessments, healthcare and lifestyle-based cases, technology-enhanced instruction, research exposure, clinical shadowing, professional development, and application preparation.
The MSBS program also supports students seeking admission to highly competitive health professions programs. Through individualized advising, academic skill development, career preparation, and structured pathways, students strengthen their academic credentials and become more competitive applicants to leading professional programs.
