Larkin University Summer Research Program (LUSRP) 2026

The Larkin University Summer Research Program (LUSRP) offers high school juniors and seniors as well as undergraduate students the opportunity to engage in hands-on research in pharmaceutical, clinical, and biomedical sciences under the guidance of experienced faculty mentors at Larkin University. LUSRP is designed to promote scientific curiosity, professional development, and future success for aspiring scientists and healthcare professionals.

Program Highlights

Program Timeline:

  • Undergraduate Students: May 18 – August 7, 2026 (12 weeks)
  • High School Juniors/Seniors: June 8 – August 7, 2026 (9 weeks) 

 

Application Deadline: March 30, 2026

Application Requirements:

  • High School Students (juniors/seniors) and Undergraduate Students
  • ≥ 3.0 GPA (Copy of Transcript)
  • Essay stating your research interests and motivation for participating in the LU Summer Research Program

Completion Requirements

To remain in good standing, students are required to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week to research activities and submit a weekly attendance form. Participants must attend weekly Professional Development Sessions held every Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, actively engage in program activities, and present their research findings via oral and poster presentation at a Mini Symposium designed to enhance scientific communication skills essential for academic and career advancement.

How to apply

1. Review the available research projects and select three projects that align with your research interests.

2. Register online and indicate your selected projects.

3. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in two brief interviews as part of the selection process.

4. Project supervisors will review applications, select students, and contact selected candidates with further information.

5. Selected students will receive a confirmation email from the program coordinator that includes detailed information about the program.
