Teaching Interests
Dr. Massimini is a trained foreign medical doctor with a 62-year career in education. He has taught in various areas, including opticianry, mathematics, physics, and medicine. After graduating from Miami Dade College Physician Assistant (PA) program, he joined his alma mater as a faculty member in January 2008 where he held various positions, including Clinical Coordinator, Program Director and, most recently, Chair of the Student Progress Committee.
Dr. Massimini coaches PA students to compete in the Medical Challenge Bowl at the state and national levels. His students have always excelled, winning over students from some of the country’s top universities. On multiple occasions, they nationally ranked First, Second, and Third Place titles for the last eighteen years.
He is also known for implementing an early intervention system where students with low academic performance, under his guidance, achieve great success in the tenure in PA school and on their National Board Examination.
Outside of work Dr. Massimini is passionate about classic cars. He is avid traveler and holds a collection of over 2000 books that he has all read.
