Naomi Alvarez
Biography
Dr. Alvarez is an Academic Fellow-Instructor at Larkin University. Prior to joining Larkin University, she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), where she completed her training across both the Dallas and Lubbock campuses.
During her time at TTUHSC, Dr. Alvarez demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and professional development. She served as Vice President of the Student College of Clinical Pharmacy (SCCP) and mentored a pharmacy student throughout their academic journey as a member of the Phi Delta Chi Pharmacy Fraternity. Dr. Alvarez’s professional interests include advancing her teaching abilities to effectively support diverse student learning styles, cultivating leadership skills, engaging in research, and improving patient health outcomes through pharmacy education and practice.

Teaching Interests
- Dr. Alvarez’s teaching interests include oncology, dermatology, and pain management.
Research and Scholarly Interests
Dr. Alvarez’s research interests focus on clinical pharmacy, patient outcomes, and the use of real-world data to improve medication safety and therapeutic decision-making. She is particularly interested in evaluating the effectiveness of pharmacologic therapies and addressing clinically relevant questions that advance evidence-based practice. In addition, she seeks to explore the responsible integration of artificial intelligence into pharmacy education and its impact on students’ learning, critical thinking, and professional development. Through research and collaboration, she aims to contribute to innovations in both pharmacy practice and education.
