Biography

Dr. Silvana Romero is a bilingual pharmacist with more than a decade of experience in clinical, hospital, ambulatory, and managed care settings. She has extensive expertise in medication therapy management, chronic disease management, medication safety, and patient-centered pharmacotherapy. Throughout her career, Dr. Romero has collaborated with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize medication use, improve therapeutic outcomes, and promote high-quality patient care.

As a faculty member at Larkin University College of Pharmacy, Dr. Romero is dedicated to preparing future healthcare professionals through evidence-based teaching, active learning, and the application of clinical reasoning to patient care. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, therapeutic decision-making, and culturally competent care, with a strong commitment to serving diverse patient populations.

A native Spanish speaker, Dr. Romero has significant experience providing medication education and counseling to multicultural communities, helping patients understand and manage complex medication regimens.
