‘Empowering our Community Together’
Date: Saturday, November 21, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Larkin University, 18301 N. Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida 33169
Larkin University, in partnership with Larkin Health System, warmly invites residents and families from Miami Gardens and surrounding communities to attend its first annual Community Health Fair. Rooted in our shared commitment to community service, health equity, and prevention, this free, family-friendly event will bring together students, faculty, healthcare professionals, and community partners to extend learning and service beyond the classroom. Attendees will have access to preventive health screenings, practical health education, wellness resources, and trusted community support designed to promote healthier individuals and families.
At the heart of this event is a simple but important goal: to meet people where they are and provide practical opportunities to learn more about their health, identify potential concerns early, and connect with resources that support their continued well-being. We recognize that many individuals and families face barriers to preventive care, health education, and community services. Through this health fair, Larkin University and Larkin Health System seek to create a welcoming and supportive environment where community members feel seen, valued, informed, and empowered.
Through meaningful engagement and interprofessional collaboration, we aim to strengthen community connections, support healthier lives, and demonstrate Larkin’s continued commitment to serving the diverse people and communities of South Florida.
Community members will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of free health and wellness services, including:
- Blood pressure screening
- Diabetes screening, including glucose and HbA1c testing
- Cholesterol screening
- Body mass index and general wellness measurements
- Vision screening
- Select cancer screenings and cancer-prevention education
- Medication education and opportunities to speak with pharmacy professionals
- Preventive health education and wellness workshops
- Community resource information and referrals
- Children’s activities and book corner
- Prizes and raffles
- Grocery distribution and family support resources
All screenings and educational activities will be provided within the appropriate professional scope and under qualified supervision.
Support the Health Fair
Community organizations, businesses, healthcare partners, and individuals are invited to support the Larkin Community Health Fair through financial sponsorships, donated products or services, and other in-kind contributions.

Every contribution, whether financial or in-kind, will help us expand and provide access to screenings, health education, hydration, supplies, groceries, family resources, and other essential services for the community. Through the generosity of our partners, we can work together to create a healthier, stronger, and more connected community.
With Gratitude to Our Sponsors and Community Partners
