Teaching Interests

Dr. Adediran’s teaching interest and experience spans various topics in Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics, such as drugs for neuropharmacological disorders, CNS disorders, infectious diseases, immunology, brain targeted delivery, drug delivery systems etc.

Scholarly Interests

Dr. Emmanuel Adediran’s research focuses on neuropharmacological modulation of novel brain-targeted Oxytocin and Neuropeptide Y nanoparticle formulation, innovative drug delivery systems and vaccine development. Neuropeptides such as oxytocin and neuropeptide Y are hydrophilic, have a short half-life, and are unable to cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB), limiting their therapeutic potential. To overcome these challenges, Dr. Adediran’s research focuses on the development of clinically translatable novel nanoformulations. His work aims to enhance the delivery and efficacy of neuropeptides by investigating their neuropharmacological modulation through both in vitro and in vivo models for the management of epileptic seizures. Another research interest of Dr. Adediran focuses on using noninvasive delivery systems such as dissolving microneedles and 3D-Printed Oral Dissolving Films, in the delivery of Influenza nanovaccine, effort geared towards global pandemic preparedness. He plays a crucial role as abstract reviewer for National Biotechnology Conference (NBC) and PharmSci360 conferences organized by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientist (AAPS). Notably, Dr. Adediran serves on the editorial advisory board of the American Journal of Pharmacotherapy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (AJPPS).
